Reproductions and Giclee Printing
The prints and canvas reproductions offered are printed using the giclee printing process. Giclee prints are a revolutionary way of reproducing paintings, drawings or artwork acurately.
The Definition: Giclee (zhee- klay) - The French word "Giclee" is a feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid In giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting.
Canvas reproductions are gallery wrapped around 1.5” thick stretch bars with the image wrapping around the side of the canvas. (Please note that if the original image edges are white, the finished canvas edges will be white as well). The canvas reproduction is done on artist grade canvas with archival inks with a UVB protectant in the canvas fabric.
Print reproductions also use the giclee printing process and are printed on 140 lb. artist quality watercolor paper, thereby giving the finished product an original look.
All originals and reproductions ordered will be personally signed and dated by the artist.
